Description
GPT4All puts an AI assistant directly on your computer: models run locally, no data goes online. The LocalDocs feature lets you query your own documents. It is the simplest entry point to local AI, with no terminal or setup. Plan on at least 8 GB of RAM, and note that the pace of development has slowed markedly since early 2025.
